We are seeking a candidate for the position of English teacher, preferably with the following knowledge and experience.

  1. Language Proficiency: An IB Language B English teacher should possess near-native or advanced proficiency in the English language, with a strong command of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and idiomatic expressions.
  2. IB Experience: Ideally, the teacher should have experience teaching within the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework, particularly in the Language B English program, and a deep understanding of the IB philosophy, curriculum, and assessment criteria.
  3. Subject Knowledge: The teacher should have a comprehensive understanding of English literature, language structure, linguistics, and literary analysis, enabling them to effectively guide students through the study of texts and develop language skills across listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
  4. Cultural Awareness: Cultural sensitivity and awareness are crucial traits for an IB Language B English teacher. They should foster an appreciation for diverse cultures, perspectives, and identities while promoting intercultural understanding and respect within the classroom.
  5. Pedagogical Skills: The teacher should demonstrate proficiency in a variety of teaching methodologies, including inquiry-based learning, differentiated instruction, and the integration of technology to engage students and facilitate meaningful language learning experiences.
  6. Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability are essential qualities for an IB Language B English teacher, as they must tailor their instruction to meet the diverse needs, interests, and learning styles of students while navigating changes in curriculum requirements and educational trends.
  7. Collaborative Spirit: An effective IB Language B English teacher should be a team player who collaborates with colleagues, administrators, and other stakeholders to align curriculum goals, share resources, and implement best practices that support student learning and development.
  8. Reflective Practitioner: The teacher should engage in reflective practice, regularly evaluating their teaching methods, student outcomes, and professional growth opportunities to continuously improve their instructional effectiveness and enhance student learning experiences.

Escolaridad: Licenciado en: educación primaria, educación básica, educación especial, psicología educativa, pedagogía, ciencias de la educación, administración escolar, o cualquier otra carrera afín.
En el caso de licenciatura en psicología educativa, educación especial, pedagogía, ciencias de la educación escolar o administración escolar es indispensable la Constancia del curso de “Capacitación didáctica para primaria” que imparte la Autoridad educativa.
Experiencia: Mínima de tres años en grupo de primaria. Deseable experiencia en Bachillerato Internacional (PEP).
Edad: 28 a 45 años

We are looking for a highly committed, accountable and enthusiastic English teacher, with at least three year experience in teaching elementary school children.

Ideal candidates must have at least a completed Bachelor’s degree in Education or Primary School Education and a Teaching English as a Foreign Language qualification, such as the Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT), Teacher´s or more.
